Marking and excavation
Marking powder is used to show the path for the curb line, then the work area is excavated and the soil is compacted. A gravel and cement base for the curb and gutter is laid.
Creating the formwork
Our roadside construction labor teams use ply boards and steel molds to create the formwork, which is held in place by clamps. Areas that will contact the concrete are treated to prevent sticking.
Pouring the concrete
A specific mix of concrete is poured into the formwork. When the concrete has set, curb installation crews use concrete finishing tools to smooth the surfaces.
