Temporary Signage, Road Markings & Barriers for Construction Sites
R&R Contracting Utilities supplies construction labor teams to erect and maintain a variety of temporary signage, road markings and safety barriers at construction sites throughout the greater Maryland and Washington, D.C., regions.
We’re a Maryland minority contractor that knows how to enhance safety for vehicles and pedestrians passing your construction site. We provide labor for general contractors, land developers, municipalities and state agencies.
Certified Traffic Control Laborers
R&R Contracting supplies certified traffic control crews to manage traffic flow at construction sites and ensure the safety of workers, motorists and pedestrians.
Temporary Signage
Construction safety signage and message boards keep vehicle and foot traffic moving safely around job sites. Temporary construction traffic signs and lighted message boards alert to:
- Road hazards
- Detours
- Slow zones or stops ahead
- Uneven pavement
- Pedestrian crossings
- Lane changes
- Merges
- The presence of heavy equipment
The signage we place at your job site will meet all state and local requirements for height, size and zoning.
Road and Pavement Markings
Road markings at construction and building sites is another method of using signage to manage the flow of traffic and pedestrians while keeping the area safe. Our heavy construction labor crews add temporary striping and messages to asphalt roads and concrete walkways adjacent to job sites in Maryland and Washington, D.C.
Road markings accomplish several things:
- Keep traffic in designated lanes
- Divert traffic away from potentially hazardous areas
- Alert to upcoming stops
- Show speed limits
- Alert to the fact that construction is taking place
- Alert to upcoming turns and merges
R&R Contracting’s road striping crews use recognized traffic-control symbols and heavy-duty traffic paint in the appropriate colors.
Barriers and Devices
Along with standard temporary signage and road markings, we provide barriers and devices for construction areas. Some of the following can also feature visible signage and messages:
Cones
10-pound standard weight, complying with Department of Transportation specs. Cones include reflective collars for night visibility.
Folding barricades
Designed with two panels on each side, they can be used to warn of street and sidewalk closures, construction activity and the need for careful passing.
Drums and barrels
Including drums with 25-pound bases and tire ring bases. Flashing yellow lighting can be affixed to the drums. Drums and barrels are highly visible to motorists and pedestrians.
A-frame barricades
A-frames can alert to flooding, washouts, fallen trees, street closures, alternate pedestrian routes and more.
Water-filled barriers
These large, stable barriers are useful for protecting sidewalks, equipment, hazards and construction sites themselves.
