Pipe Layers

R&R Contracting Utilities is hiring experienced pipe layers for water main, sanitary sewer, and storm drain projects across Maryland, Virginia, Washington D.C., Delaware, and Pennsylvania.

What You'll Do

• Install, repair, and replace water mains, sewer lines, and storm drain systems
• Set pipe to grade using laser levels and surveying equipment
• Connect pipes using mechanical joints, fusion welding, or bell-and-spigot connections
• Perform bedding, backfill, and compaction around installed pipe
• Work in trenches and excavations following confined space and OSHA safety protocols
• Assist with hydrostatic testing and system commissioning

What We're Looking For

• 2+ years of pipe laying experience (water, sewer, or storm drain)
• Knowledge of pipe materials (DIP, PVC, HDPE, concrete)
• Ability to read utility plans and follow grade specifications
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
• Competent Person certification for trenching and excavation a plus
• Physical ability to work in trenches and lift heavy materials
• Reliable transportation and valid ID
