Traffic Control Manager
R&R Contracting Utilities is hiring traffic control managers to oversee work zone traffic management operations for highway, arterial, and local road construction projects.
What You'll Do
- Plan, set up, and manage traffic control operations per MUTCD and state DOT standards
- Supervise flagging crews and traffic control technicians on site
- Coordinate with general contractor superintendents on lane closure schedules
- Ensure all signage, barriers, channelizing devices, and lighting meet compliance requirements
- Conduct pre-shift safety meetings and monitor work zone safety throughout the day
- Manage equipment inventory, deployment, and maintenance
- Document daily traffic control activities and submit reports
What We're Looking For
- ATSSA certification required
- 3+ years of traffic control or work zone management experience
- Knowledge of MUTCD standards and state DOT traffic control regulations
- Experience supervising crews of 5+ workers
- Strong communication skills
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Night work and weekend availability as needed
