R&R Contracting Utilities Unveils New Brand Identity and Formalizes Two-Practice Service Framework

Minority-certified workforce partner introduces refreshed visual system and clearly defined service designations across utility construction and traffic control.

OLNEY, MD — May 1, 2026 — R&R Contracting Utilities, a minority-certified workforce partner serving general contractors across the Mid-Atlantic, today unveiled a new brand identity and a formally defined service framework. The rollout introduces a refreshed wordmark, a structured visual system, and two clearly designated service practices — Workforce Solutions and Traffic Control & Flagging — that reflect how R&R actually delivers work in the field.

The new identity is built around a disciplined, jobsite-ready visual system. At its center is an updated R+R wordmark where the "+" symbol signals added value, workforce support, and R&R's role as the connective tissue between general contractors and the skilled, certified labor they need to execute on schedule. The mark is designed to scale cleanly from a hard-hat sticker to a project banner, and is supported by a new color system, typography standard, and photography approach emphasizing real field imagery over stock construction visuals.

"Our work is direct, disciplined, and measurable — and our brand should feel the same way," said Jennifer DiPietro, President of R&R Contracting Utilities. "General contractors don't hire us for marketing. They hire us because our crews show up ready, our certifications hold up to scrutiny, and our people stay on the job until it's finished. This identity is built to reflect that reality."

Two Service Practices, Clearly Designated

Alongside the new identity, R&R is formalizing two distinct service practices:

Workforce Solutions — Certified crews embedded directly into general contractor projects. R&R provides laborers and operators on a time and material basis for heavy highway construction, water main repair, sewer construction and pipe bursting, tunnel crossings, waterline cleaning, and demolition work. Crews integrate under the GC's direction and help meet local minority participation requirements without adding execution risk.

Traffic Control & Flagging — Turnkey work-zone management delivered end-to-end by R&R. Services include traffic control management, work zone traffic management, highway traffic labor, pedestrian management, temporary signage and road markings, and night work lighting. R&R is the responsible provider from setup through breakdown.

The two-practice structure clarifies what R&R has always done in the field, DiPietro added: "In one practice, we're the crew inside someone else's project. In the other, we're the responsible provider managing the work zone. Making that distinction obvious — in our brand, on our website, in our proposals — helps our clients buy the right thing and helps our teams execute against clear expectations."

Certifications That Travel With the Work

R&R's certifications — DBE and WBE — remain central to how the company serves its market. Rather than treating diversity participation as a compliance box, R&R positions it as a strategic advantage for general contractors: crews arrive field-ready, credentialed, and aligned to the participation requirements embedded in public and private infrastructure contracts across Maryland, the District of Columbia, Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Delaware.

Built for the Mid-Atlantic, Structured to Grow

R&R is headquartered in Olney, Maryland, and operates throughout the Mid-Atlantic. The new brand architecture is designed to support expansion into adjacent markets — including dry utility, gas utility, site preparation, and highway construction — without losing the clarity the two-practice framework provides.

The refreshed website, updated proposal templates, and new service collateral are rolling out in coordination with the announcement.
