Rodrigo Salazar
Runs R&R's bids from first review to submission, and sets up each new job with the general contractor.
Rodrigo Salazar is the Bid Coordinator at R&R Contracting Utilities, Inc. He manages R&R's bids for utility, traffic control, and public works projects, from reviewing bid documents through pricing support and submission. Each proposal must meet the owner's WBE, MBE, and DBE participation requirements, and Rodrigo ensures compliance.
At the start of a job, he sends the general contractor R&R's project-information request: the owner and project manager, wage scale, overtime rules, reporting requirements, and work classifications. The responses allow R&R to set up payroll and reporting so it's compliant from the start.
Before joining R&R, he spent eight years as a training manager at TELUS International, building onboarding and training programs for its operations teams. He studied agricultural engineering at Universidad Rafael Landívar.
CSX North Avenue Bridge Modifications
Baltimore, MD
In summer 2024, R&R Contracting crews worked on CSX Transportation's North Avenue bridge in Baltimore, part of the Howard Street Tunnel clearance program.
